The Houston Open is part of the PGA Tour that takes place in Texas. The event was inaugurated 78 years ago at River Oaks Country Club but later in 1947, it moved to Memorial Park.
A total of 144 players are participating in the event. The list of player participation includes 40 of the world’s top 100. The defending champion Tony Finau will try to retain his throne. Tony won the Mexico Open in 2023.
Scottie Scheffler is the number-one seed in the tournament. He won the Players Championship last week, making a back-to-back record. He will be a strong contender for the Trophy in the Houston Open.
Peter Malnati, who won the Valspar Championship this week, will start the tournament with high confidence. There will be players like Wyndham Clark, Will Zalatoris, Sahith Theegala, Jason Day, and many more.

In 2024 the Texas Children’s Houston Open 2024 has an astounding number of $9.1 million which was $8.4 million last year. It’s a $700k increase from the previous year. So a change in the individual payout is also noticeable.
The winner will receive a handsome amount of $1,638,000 whereas the amount was $1,512,000 in 2023. It’s an increment of more than $100k.
